She Is A Natural, Of Course

Mookie has been wanting to help me sew. :o)  She comes from a long line of sewists, so wanting to help me sew is obviously in her blood. Sew, Mama, Sew has a great post here about different ideas for small hands at different ages.

If it wasn't (oh my goodness) -10*F, I would be planning a trip to Michael's for more supplies. As it is, we'll be working from what we've got.

    I made the girls some of these sewing cards when Bean was little. Berry got the hand me downs and we passed them on to a friend. I printed some coloring pages of Bean's favorite cartoon characters then used some quilt pattern plastic, pretty sturdy stuff. I found a long reach, hand held, whole punch and punched the image. Then made a random border pattern. They had "sew" much fun sewing the pictures! Enjoy the warm house and sewing today!!
